The descendants of Joseph and Betty Barnett of Troutbeck and Osmotherley in Furness, Lancashire

I never expected to have a Furness branch, but this is it. Cut off from the rest of the country by the mountainous Lakes, you could only reach it by ferry across Morecambe Sands which were also treacherous. Joseph Barnett brought his family here from Troutbeck east of Windermere, and quickly they grew in the peninsula from Dalton to Penny Bridge. I'm glad to have found this inlet of my ancestry. Would like to hear from any descendants.
