Descendants of the Smiths, Flowers and Lain families of Norfolk

Norfolk: No real connection survived with our distant Norfolk roots, so this is all recreated after time washed over them. Recollections that there was plenty of blue blood here proved unfounded, instead lots of scandal quickly made itself known (mostly filtered out here). But Mary Flowers 1819 *did* live at Mulbarton Old Hall, as her uncle had married a wealthy widow Mrs Riches who owned it. Mary helped manage it with her husband. Then last year we stumbled on our Quaker ancestry: again we are working from old dry records, but these take us to the Mansers of Hertford and beyond!
